Big Daddy's father passed away on August 10th. I haven't known really what to post, since I am more of a photo journalist. He was a man that my husband has always aspired to be like. He has done much of what he does for his father's approval. e I have known my father n law since I was 15, I was there when big daddy and his father would have HUGE disagreements. But in the last 20 years, all the time spent with him was sacred to big daddy. They would go out to the Ranch together, they would spend hours talking in these past few years. I have heard Richard's approval of what all big daddy accomplishes over and over. He would just shake his head and say I don't know how he can get it all done...even though he was the man the showed him how!
It was truly therapeutic for him to dig the grave. I did feel like I was in a "little house on the Prairie" time warp during the burial. But, it was really moving to watch the sons and grandsons lower Richard into his grave by ropes. It is something we will never forget. And the view of Pike's peak and the frontrange is gorgeous from there.

What a blessing having a bunch of kids, Richard still lives in his kids, grandkids and now 9 great grandkids and more on the way.
