Beau Jo's and boys and the cat's cradle

The Colorado mountain town tradition. Ski, hike the mountains and then come on in for some Rocky mountain pie.
A typical kid scene while dining, that is why we no longer go out much!

This would be the other reason

Boy scuffling, punching is fine as long as I don't see, hear or be disturbed!

Kevin was actually fine during that mountain fishing expedition, it was Cole who had been told specically "not" to shoot the BB gun into the lake ....that caused big daddy to say he is never taking him anywhere again!

We bought a "how to" book with the string and hoped someone remembered from their childhood how to do it. It was Henc that taught Jade.

She mastered the Eiffle tower

The cup and saucer

The Rocky mountain pie. This was on whole wheat with their special Provolone cheese. They have jars of honey to finish the crust off with.

Flowers of Breckenridge

Such Posers-eh!

Lupine is one of my favorite flowers.

I can't sit still much and now that I work alot during the week, weekends are outing days. Once it was confirmed that the guys had left for a day of fishing, I tossed it back and forth whether I felt like going to Kidspree. I had mentioned to Tisha that we should do a girl's day in the mountains since we were free of our higher maintenance better halves! :-) When we arrived home from Kidspree, Tisha called and said she was on her way over. So we loaded into her gas efficient car and off we went to Breckenridge. I hadn't had my Vail fix this year in June, so this did it! If you go to Vail the first week or so of June you can see Tulips, they are a couple of months behind us in seasons. Too late for tulips, but they had Lupine-ahh I love Lupine! After our delightful couple of hours in Breck we headed to join the boys for Pizza at Beau Jos in Idaho Springs.

Hanna Montanas?

Radio Disney was at Kidspree. The girls picked their favorite High School musical song, "We are soaring, we are flying" and Karaokeed (is that a verb?)it, they actually knew all the words!

Kidspree

Sharing, but not happy about it!

Coloring the top
Aurora does this every year. Totally free activities for the kids. A bunch of crafts, they used to tie die shirts, now it is a scarf. A bunch of games, trains and fun. I used to take the boys every year., but the last time I went Jade was 2. This was Asia's first time. The strategy is to get there by 9:45 ( it opens at 10) then you can park close and leave quick. It is usually on the hottest day of the year! at 95, it was hot!

Boy's fishing trip

The crew, Kevin the one with a gun a true city boy freaked when he heard they were taking the BB guns, but notice he is the one holding it! This is probably the same BB gun from the Squirrel incident. I will post the squirrel incident some day when my days are slow.
It's a beautiful top mountain lake

Big Daddy started coming up here when he was 12 with Mick and his Dad. It is an annual or semi-annual if it can he find the time. It's a strong 4-wheel 10 miles and then maybe a mile and half up the mountain hike.

Octopus and seaweed for lunch

It is just green food coloring added to ckn Ramen

Missy Z eating it with her eyes shut.

The best thing about going to Nebraska is that I get to slow down for a day! :-) So I sit around April's house chat and read Taste of Home magazines. This was one of the recipes, and I had to do it! Missy Z could not eat it, even though Ramen is her most favorite meal. So we had her shut her eyes and Jade fed her and then she was fine.

Back in my Martha Stewart days, For Cole's 6th Birthday I did an Indiana Jones theme. In which I bought coconuts that I fashioned into Monkey heads. I served Spaghetti for dinner for the monkey brains theme. Drew almost threw up! He refused to eat it, so I guess I should have made him shut his eyes and eat it!

Group 589 BBQ

Best picture of Alex even though Leyton is not looking at me
Alex is almost smiling here!

Aren't they cute, Addy is in the front

The winning blow that broke the stick! And look no frown on Alex!
Asia does her best
Drew and Ella all smiles

Jade and Al

Mayesie had to go, but we have Alex and Addy in here

And Big Daddy cleans up! The area was spotless then the kids chucked gravel everywhere!

This was a great showing, 6 of the 7 families here made it. It was great to see everyone again. Someday Alex will smile for the camera!

Passing Wind Ranch

The 400# sign

The Installers
Just so I make a few pictures here and there.

On top of the hill looking back

The Cacti were in bloom

Ewww gross, cow pies...Asia learn about cow pies!

Big Daddy got the sign made. Dennis helped weld it. We girls and Henc did our foodie tour of Scottsbluff and hoped we took long enough that the sign would be done. They were just finishing it up when we drove up. After seeing that those passing winds had blown over the outhouse, Tisha wanted to know when we were going to leave...we had only been there 15 minutes! It is a family female thing to not love this ranch as the males do!
