Surabi's summer Shave

With all the fur

The indignity of being shaved

Showing off the new Do

Surabi is Wolfie our shaded silver persian's and Nila's cat Mocha's daughter. She turned 8 this weekend. We usually shave her for the summer.

Drew's Viola and Miss D

Drew practised this time and you could tell! We have to give Miss D the full credit of why the guys love orchestra. She is one of those that loves, lives and breathes orchestra. She composes alot of her own orchestras and is in the Who's who book. Cole's teacher this year has not been like Miss D, but he does love the Violyn.

We will interrupt today's posting with Pinatas in the dryer

Taping the balloons together to make a Panda Bear

The paper mache has been added, now to dry....before the dryer incident!

Preparing for Asia's Kung Fu Panda birthday party, none of the stores have a panda, or a kung fu panda pinata. Drew excitedly volunteered to make one. Keep in mind, this guy has been accepted to the gifted and talented program in Jr High.... I was hiding in my room, when Cole says, " Mom the panda's legs have fallen off in the dryer" I am thinking it is just a guise to get me out of my room! Wrong! Drew thought it would be a quick way to get it to dry! I just shake my head!! Of course, he didn't think to remove the other clothing that was in there!! So his project right now is cleaning out the paper and paste from the dryer and hand washing the clothes that were in there. Argh!

Drew's kinda Graduation

Drew's handsome 6th grade grad picture

The graduation from D.A.R.E

Beautiful Class picture!

Last year Cole did a beautiful grad ceremony, but they told us this year that it was against the rules! What rules?!! So the DARE graduation was the stand in for it. Since my scanner died, I took a picture of the surprise graduation pictures they took of the kids. I don't know how I didn't notice him going to school looking like this!

Thor's hair...oops I mean here!

First family picture

The big question was...will his hair be red?!!

Is this red? Cole loved his hair, he took the hair pictures.

I think he looks alot like Rex did, but I see a little Leann there, too.

We stopped by about noon today. They should all get to go home tomorrow. Leann took some Castor Oil yesterday in hopes that it would help...it did! So, that old wive's tale worked!
They got to the hospital at 8:30. Thor's pulse went to 30? I think that's what she told me so they had to do an emergency c-section.

The dirty and the clean

A tarzan move landing in the green turtle

Asia loves to be messy, she and Drew are truly peas in a pod.

The odd couple, Missy Z stays at least 2 feet from the Asia! She is not going to get dirty!

Big Daddy's mom gave the boys this turtle a couple of weeks after they came to live with us. It has been everything from a sand box to a pool...this is a mixture of that stew Asia was cooking a couple of weeks ago.

The real Dentist

Happy gas and the diagram of what they have to do to her

She looks so small on the chair
She got to watch finding Nemo during the procedure

She had to keep this in her mouth due to the numbness so she won't chew her cheek.

Asia was only 3 1/2 pounds at birth. Teeth are like trees, you can tell what happens in utero by the teeth. Asia's birth mom must have suffered from starvation during her 2 trimester. The 2nd visit to Dr. Lisa, there was a resident there and Dr Lisa got out a text book and was showing us what happened in Utero to the formation of the teeth. Anyhow, yesterday the brave Asia had 5 fillings, 1 root canal and a crown(which we call a princess tooth) These were all back teeth. Her 2nd round will be in August which the front ones will be addressed (5 more fillings). Dr Lisa said she was the bravest little patient she has ever seen. Basically, Asia's teeth have partially developed tooth enamel. Her adult teeth should be fine.

Last day of Ms Gwen's class

Gwen with the gang

Gwen was proud of what all they had learned and wanted to demonstrate.
